In the past two or three years, I've seen one or the other of these pieces above floating around on the internet and in stores. I thoroughly liked the clothing I was seeing out of the brand, Friend of Mine, but being a lazy browser I just jotted down the name (three times separately) and never got around to looking at their actual site. I was missing out an introduction to the chicest brand coming out of the land down under. I detest saying anything is hot but for this brand established in 2009 by two friends in Melbourne, my brain is screaming at me to use this word. Friend of Mine is just hot.
It has the combination of sex appeal, restraint, structure, and interest that every designer needs to have in their clothes. And they know what they are about, they have the cohesiveness of their collections nailed down. There is no waffling about in their lookbooks, simple and to the point.

It doesn't say in the description of this dress whether the meant to nail down the exact aubergine tones of Carine Roitfeld's hair but that's all I can think about when I see this beautifully structured leather dress aptly named Carine.
